Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and event-based activities. Led locally by news euros Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Details were published in a Scientology Europe report.

According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
